UNION STATION
Project Roadmap
Ogden’s Union Station stands as a landmark of the city’s railroading legacy and a powerful symbol of the cultural and economic transformation brought to the West by the transcontinental railroad. While it no longer functions as an active train depot, the Station continues to draw visitors from around the world and remains a defining feature of Ogden’s identity. The goal moving forward is to thoughtfully modernize Union Station to improve access, functionality, and visitor experience while preserving the architectural character and historical significance that make it unique. By balancing careful preservation with strategic improvements, Union Station can continue to serve as a welcoming, dynamic place that connects people to Ogden’s past while supporting its future.
