Near-Term Enhancements Underway
This video needed to be edited at the last minute to also include news of Ogden’s Redevelopment plan (hence the terrible change in audio quality). For the record, I really like Ogden’s plans, and I support whatever efforts are needed to revitalize the area around Union Station. The suggestions I have about track alignments do NOT conflict with what was proposed by Ogden city and their developer partners.

Ogden is getting serious about using its historic train station! Real work is being done to move the UTA FrontRunner platforms away from the park-and-ride lot on the north end of downtown, and to instead have trains stop directly at the historic station. This is a small move for the trains, but a huge move for Ogden, and potentially a tremendous step forward for the Rio Grande Plan!

Thank you to everyone getting involved and helping to promote better rail service in Utah!
