One of our many priorities is to restore and preserve the Station, ensuring its timeless charm and architectural significance remain intact. In fact, the main portions of the building, including the iconic Grand Hall, have been proudly listed on the National Register of Historic Places since 1973. We recognize the value and importance of this cherished community asset.
While there may be other buildings within the Union Station Neighborhood that are old but not considered nationally registered historic structures, any changes or enhancements will be carefully planned and respectful of the overall historic character of the site.

We are actively considering key enhancements that may involve relocating the museum collections to a new, state-of-the-art facility on the site. This move would not only provide a better environment for the collections but also create exciting opportunities to present both current and new exhibits in innovative and engaging ways. However, it's important to note that any proposed museum upgrades are subject to working closely with the relevant authorities to secure funding. We recognize the significance of these upgrades and the value they bring to the Union Station experience. Therefore, we are actively exploring funding opportunities to support the realization of these museum enhancements. Our aim is to elevate the museum experience and ensure the preservation of our rich history for generations to come.
